SYFY Announces New Shows and Renews Fan Favorites

Get ready to meet your new obsessions!

SYFY is gearing up to celebrate their 30th anniversary and these shows prove they are truly thirty, flirty and thriving! (If you didn’t get that 13 Going On 30 reference, add that to your list of things to watch and thank us later!)

SYFY is home to many wonderful nerdy genre shows and they are adding even more this year. Let’s take a closer look!

New Shows

Reginald the Vampire is dramedy that is based on Johnny B. Truant’s “Fat Vampire” book series” and will star Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s Jacob Batalonas as the titular character, Reginald Andres. Vampire shows are nothing new, but this show offers a fresh take on the “hot, young and powerful” vampire show we have seen so many times.

Reginald the Vampire Synopsis:

Imagine a world populated by beautiful, fit and vain vampires. Reginald Andres (Jacob Batalon) tumbles headlong into it as an unlikely hero who will have to navigate every kind of obstacle – the girl he loves but can’t be with, a bully manager at work and the vampire chieftain who wants him dead. Fortunately, Reginald discovers he has a few unrecognized powers of his own. A new show with a lot of heart and just enough blood, “Reginald the Vampire” proves the undead life is just as complicated as life itself. The series also stars Mandela Van Peebles and Em Haine.

Another new show that SYFY announced is The Ark. The 100 fans can rest easy knowing that this show may share a ship name with The 100, and involve saving the human race, but that is where the similarities seem to end. Thankfully.

The Ark Synopsis:

“The Ark” takes place 100 years in the future when planetary colonization missions have begun as a necessity to help secure the survival of the human race. The first of these missions on a spacecraft known as Ark One encounters a catastrophic event causing massive destruction and loss of life. With more than a year left to go before reaching their target planet, a lack of life-sustaining supplies and loss of leadership, the remaining crew must become the best versions of themselves to stay on course and survive. The series stars Christie Burke, Richard Fleeshman, Reece Ritchie, Stacey Read and Ryan Adams.

SYFY has also renewed it’s hit shows, Chucky and Resident Alien, which will have new episodes later this year and SurrealEstate, which will be back in 2023 for its second season.

You can watch all of these shows on the SYFY network
