‘Van Helsing’ recap: Brad and Cort Talk Ep 5×04, “State of the Union”

Van Helsing, Ep 5×04, “State of the Union” aired May 7, 2021

Welcome back, Helsingers. This week’s all-new episode reunites us with more of the Van Helsing bunch in the present. Ripples are felt from those changes in the past. The Dark One has lost a great deal of her power. Violet realizes that there is something different about the vial. Does she realize it’s now housing part of the Dark One’s power? Unfortunately, not before some of it is released.

Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort break down ep 5×04, “State of the Union”.  Violet and Ivory start the episode being questioned for their attempts to assassinate the fake president. Elsewhere, Doc does her best to patch up Julius and Axel. She also gives the lowdown on the Vampire control serum she’d been working on for Hanson. Of course, there are super unexpected side effects.

Bathory gets a dark glimpse of her future. She’s not that forthcoming with the Dark One when the old evil asks about her vision. Instead, Bathory looks to her cards for the truth. What do you think it means that the Van Helsing ladies pop up again and again during her reading?

Were you expecting Doc to find Jolene so quickly? Is this the last we’ve seen of them both? Give us a listen and then be sure to drop a comment or in our Facebook group with your thoughts on ep 5×04, “State of the Union”. You can also send us an email at [email protected]
