‘The Stand’ recap: Brad & Cort Talk Ep 1×04, “The House of the Dead”

The Stand, Ep 1×04, “The House of the Dead” aired Jan 7, 2021

This week, Nadine makes Harold an offer he can’t refuse. It’s more than clear that Nadine is truly devoted to the Dark Man. Before the episode’s end, she’s killed poor Teddy Weizak and there’s a plan to take out the rest of the citizens of the Boulder Free Zone.

Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort break down ep 1×04, “The House of the Dead”. Larry takes the lead to calm down the rest of the townspeople as they are understandably freaked out about their recent visitor. Granted Stu and the others don’t tell the whole truth about what happened before the outsider died.  Of course, we get more flashbacks showing the journey that took place months before. There’s more with Nick and Tom. Fran and Harold have a pretty traumatic encounter before they meet up with Stu again.

We finally get the obligatory Stephen King cameo before Nick and Tom make their way to Mother Abagail. What did you think of the way they pulled this off? Did it work or were you hoping to see King pop up in person? What did you think of the plan to send the Judge, Tom, and Dayna to infiltrate Flagg’s group?
