Thanks to Netflix, one of the most enjoyable parts of fall’s spooky season has been the installments of The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor.
What ultimately makes each Haunting so strong is the characters. And the show’s creator, Mike Flanagan, brilliantly executes a different and more vulnerable side of horror, which makes our collective melancholy more fresh and our attachment to these characters more absolute.
So obviously, the next question after completing both shows and the following inevitable existential tail-spin, is which Haunting character are you based on your zodiac sign? Keep reading to find out!
Aquarius
January 20 – February 18
Steven Crain
Aquarius’ are independent, deep thinkers, and have a passion for the truth. Steven dedicated most of his life to understanding what happened to him and his family in Hill House, and even if you sometimes didn’t agree with his methods, you knew where he was coming from. Steven Crain is a classic Aquarius through and through.
Pisces
February 19 – March 20
Nell & Luke Crain
I couldn’t separate the twins. I just couldn’t. One goes and the other follows. Nell and Luke Crain are Pisces. Compassionate, intuitive, gentle, with a desire to live outside realm of reality. Firstly, I mean, same. Also, Nell and Luke have the biggest hearts, and the rest is confetti.
Aries
March 21 – April 19
Miles Wingrave/Peter Quint
Unfortunately during the duration of Bly Manor it was hard to distinguish Miles from Peter. Aries are confident and determined, but also can be impatient and moody. Don’t worry Aries, no one is saying you are destined to end up like Peter Quint. However, in this Haunting universe it seems you’re most likely to put your hands in your pockets and que up for a sinister monologue like no other.
Taurus
April 20 – May 20
Jamie Taylor
Jamie just IS a Taurus. It’s solidified with her love of gardening, devotion, stability, and patience. If you’re ever lucky enough to have a Jamie in your life, remember do not pick the roses before they’re ready! Right, Poppins?
Gemini
May 21 – June 20
Dani Clayton
Gemini’s are gentle, curious, indecisive, and adaptable. Sound like anyone in particular? I admire Dani’s pluckiness and delight over her ever so constant state of *gaypanic*.

June 21 – July 22
Theo Crain
Cancer’s are tenacious, loyal, emotional, and imaginative. Theo is all those things, but she tries her hardest not to be. It’s not until after the end of Hill House that she embraces those attributes as a strength. Gloves on or gloves off, Theo embodies a Cancer.
Leo
July 23 – August 22
Flora Wingrave
Leo’s are creative, generous, warm-hearted, confident, and natural leaders. Flora was quite frankly a superhero during her time at Bly, and the tragedy was she was put into a situation where she had to be instead of just being a kid. Leo’s definitely recognize Flora as one of their own. She did her best, and I think we can all agree we would go into the lake to save her.
Virgo
August 23 – September 22
Hannah Grose
Virgo’s are analytical, hardworking, kind, and methodical. So basically, Hannah Grose. I think we could all use a Hannah in our lives, and ergo, a Virgo. Her mark lives on, even when gone.
Libra
September 23 – October 22
Rebecca Jessel
Libra’s are diplomatic, gracious, and value partnership and justice. Rebecca would have accomplished great things under the sign of Libra, however, she eventually stayed true to those ideals at the end of the road.
Scorpio
October 23 – November 21
Shirley Crain
Scorpio’s are passionate, stubborn, brave, values the truth, and recoils at dishonesty. Shirley is a classic Scorpio, and we all appreciate her for it. Let’s just say I would trust her to dress my dead body.
Sagittarius
November 22 – December 21
Owen Sharma
Sagittarius’ are humorous, idealistic, optimistic, and love travel. Thank god for Owen because his cute little chef self breathed some humanity in the bleak manor of Bly. Owen Sharma Rights! You keep doing you, Sags.
Capricorn
December 22 – January 19
Hugh Crain
Capricorn’s are traditional, responsible, and independent. While these qualities sometimes frustrated the Crain kids, at least the Crain patriarch tried his best with what he was given. And in the end, he saved the day.
