‘The 100’ 7×05: “Welcome to Bardo” recap

This was so intense! SO. MUCH. STRESS.

The 100 7×05, Season 7, Episode 5, aired on The CW June 17, 2020

Bellamy is back (sort of) and we get to spend some time in Octavia’s mind! And Indra solved a little mystery over in Sanctum. This episode was intense and so, so fun! Here’s what went down!

Bardo! Remember when Octavia and Diyoza were taken? Now are getting answers about where they went! They were zapped over to Bardo and that’s when the ass kicking started. Watching Octavia fight her way out of trouble just never gets old. Also, what the heck is up with the freaky fake forest?! And who is the Shepard? Bardo is a trip!

Moon Sanctum dramaaaa. Can we all just agree that Sanctum is a whole ass mess and Indra and the rest of the peeps should pack up and move to the woods? Murphy is usually only about himself, so it’s been great to see him stepping up for others. It definitely doesn’t go according to plan, but we are still proud! Also, we saw that it’s super f*cked up that they were sacrificing kids, but that’s kinda what the Ring did in season 1 when they sent the kids to Earth. Two sides of the same inhumane coin.

Octavia’s mind. In Bardo, Anders has ordered that the tech guy, Levitt (we love him!) pull memories from Octavia’s brain. It’s such a fun way to look back on the history of the show and to see characters from the previous seasons, but the fun is over when grown-up Hope arrives and our hearts get broken! It’s such a sweet and tragic moment to see them realize that the only way to save Octavia is to make her forget.

Bellamy – is he dead? In a word, no. In two words, Hell no, because if that was how he went out after all this time, it would be such a waste of seven years and we just won’t go there. The leader on our theory board is that he is alive, but he lost his memories. If you recall, they spent a little extra time on the science of the helmet and memory loss. Another theory that we have is that Anders saw how important Bellamy is to Clarke (in Octavia’s memories) and is keeping him somewhere to use as leverage with Clarke. Either way, we hope he is found soon! Our other hope is that he and Gaia ended up in the same place!

Indra and Sheidheda. This was so fricking cool. Indra doesn’t need an army to get sh*t done – she’s her own army. She also is able to figure out that Russell is Sheidheda and even trick him into confirming it! This entire thing was so intense. It’s the best thing happening on Sanctum.

Echo. Alright, we need to talk about our girl, Echo. We get her determination to find Bellamy, but we were feeling like Gabriel as she killed her way through Bardo (“Echo! Stop!”). She was giving us some solid Finn vibes when she freaked out and killed that tech dude. Anger makes sense, but that was just scary.
