In the Dark 2×05, Season 2, Episode 5, “The Unusual Suspects” aired May 14, 2020 on The CW.
The money laundering biz is getting more and more hectic for Murphy, Felix and Jess and things have gone from bad to worse. There was also a HUGE twist at the end of this episode and we are beyond stressed. Here’s what went down!
7 Days. Okay, the puzzle pieces are starting to come together and we are starting to have some theories. In the very brief opening we see Murphy and Felix cleaning the floor where we know Ben is laying dead. Felix says, “I can’t believe they did this to us.” and it got us thinking some thoughts. Who did what?! Is it Nia and her crew? Or maybe Sterling (ugh, more on that in a minute).
Exit plan fail. Felix is over it and wants out, but Murphy’s latest move (stashing drugs for Nia) has put them even deeper in the mix of the Nia drama. And what’s even worse – now Nia wants Murphy to deliver drugs for her! Murphy and Felix are keeping it from Jess, but she immediately knows something is up. Also, Murphy and Felix are terrible drug dealers. Thankfully, Darnell is working on a way to bring Nia down because it seems he’s the only hope to get Murphy out of this.
Josh and Murphy. Josh, the IRS guy who is going blind, stopped by Guiding Hope to chat with Murphy about his vision and they decided to get drinks! It’s not as casual as we thought, because now Murphy knows that Josh is looking into the Nia!
Tow-tally screwed. Things don’t usually go well when you are laundering money and hiding drugs at your guide dog facility, but it’s even worse when the cops tow the truck you are using to launder the money. Oh, and you also stashed some drugs in that truck. It’s all super bad, (did we mention the murder van) but at least it gave Murphy and Felix a chance to hash out their issues.
Max, the man on the inside. Max is locked up, but he’s still stuck working for Nia. While we are worried for Max and his safety as an in jail drug mover, we are happy that we get to see more of him now that he’s in on the action.
MOLE! Okay, the only happy thing about this show was Jess and her adorable relationship with Sterling and now that’s over. Sterling is with Sam and she’s only working at Guiding Hope to spy on Jess, Murphy and Felix! NOOOOOOOOOOO!
