Van Helsing Ep 4×02, “Dark Ties” aired on Oct 4, 2019
Welcome back, Helsingers! This week, Vanessa encounters a new group of survivors and a few old friends. She imparts some truly vital knowledge about how to take out daywalkers and enjoys some much-needed karaoke time. The group is hopeful about having Vanessa stick around, but she’s got things to do. Elsewhere, Julius and Doc are making the best of their enforced presence at Fort Collins. Julius shows Violet (Keeya King) what it really means to fight a vampire. She’s cocky and fearless, but girl has some major skills. Gotta wonder how much of that is tangled into her seeming connection to the Van Helsing bloodline.
Hit Play and listen in as Brad and Cort discuss Ep 4×02, “Dark Ties”. Even when their relationship isn’t in the best place, how awesome are Doc and Julius’ interactions? Also, major points to Doc for using her leverage to find out where Phil and Jolene ended up. How about that reveal about Violet at the end. She healed that vampire in the way that we’ve seen Vanessa do in the past. She was bitten and didn’t turn!!! What the what? Could Vanessa have another sister? Vanessa talked about being an experiment last week, is that what happened to Violet? Also, where are you with Tabby? Did you get Interview with a Vampire vibes like Brad?
Will the little Tabby become another Claudia? An old soul trapped in a young body for a lifetime and bloodthirsty? Does Jolene have some competition for Doc’s affections? Also, how awesome is this show for addressing little tidbits like Monica cooking up a receipt for gas and brews? Most shows just mysteriously have generators with never-ending supplies of gas. Vanessa spent a lot of time bonding with young Jac during the episode. Were you expecting Jac to join Vanessa on her travels? And what was the deal with her handing over Scarlett’s katana?
