‘The 100’: 5 reasons to attend Conageddon 3!

BEST. CON. EVER.

If you’re active in The 100 fandom, then you have probably heard of something called Conageddon and if you haven’t, we have the scoop on what makes this con so special. Fans from all over the globe can’t stop talking about it, even months after it ends! Whether you have been to Conageddon previously or are thinking about attending for the first time next year, we have five reasons why this con will be the best experience of your life!

Convenient Location:

Taking place at the Boston Logan Airport Hotel, this Con is perfect for fans flying in from all over! It’s so easy to make your way through the airport and you don’t have to worry about paying for transportation to get to the hotel since it is connected. If your airline is a bit of a walk, then all you have to do is call the hotel and they’ll quickly send over a transportation vehicle. Having the hotel connected to the airport is especially a benefit if you are traveling alone or are a nervous traveler who worries when in a new place.

There are multiple bus lines that connect to different areas throughout Boston, so don’t worry if you don’t have a car and would rather not use uber. (Sorry Uber, we still love you but need the extra cash for photo ops!)  Fans should also take into consideration that there is much to do in Boston and it’s simple to get around and have fun checking out all the tourist attractions after or before the convention.

Historical Tourist Attractions:

For history buffs, Boston is loaded with things you’ll love! A favorite of ours is the Boston Tea Party Museum which lets guests throw tea over the one of the ships and into the harbor! Afterwards you can enjoy tea and scones in Abigail’s Tea Room, transporting you to a different time. Boston also offers other tours worth checking out such as the Freedom Trail, and a marketplace filled with awesome food spots.

There are other historical locations close by to Boston if you’re feeling adventurous enough to venture a little further. Salem is less than an hour away and Boston offers a scenic ferry ride there. If you’re unfamiliar with Salem, it’s well known for its paranormal history and we can confirm that it is definitely a creepy little town!

Intimate Experience:

This con offers an intimate experience like no other by only selling a limited number of general admission and VIP tickets. Another plus is that photo ops and autographs rarely sell out and you can even purchase them at the con. Since it’s so small, the access to the cast that all fans get makes it even more special and memorable. Every fan that has attended comes back reporting on a significant moment they shared with their favorite cast member.

If you have the extra money and want the ultimate intimate experience, then we recommend splurging on VIP. With this you get a number of cool things such as breakfast with the guest, meet and greet, and a party filled with dancing, games and laughs! Last Conageddon, cast members even started playing a competitive game of beer pong!

The Best Cast Ever:

So this may seem like an obvious reason to go to Conageddon, but we can not stress enough how genuine this group of people are. Attending this year are: Bob Morley, Eliza Taylor, Zach Mcgowan, Richard Harmon, Taysa Teles, Luisa d’Oliveira, Christopher Larkin, Sachin Sahel, and Jarod Joseph. Unlike other cons, Conageddon doesn’t give off the vibe that the celebrities only care about the money. Every single cast member is truly happy to be there and will make you feel as though you are more than just a fan.

We have experience doing both photo ops and autographs at the convention, and both were very positive and gives fans a good amount of time to chat and ask questions. Attending all the different types of panels is another opportunity to interact with the cast and hear them talk about the show. Last year, Bob Morley, Richard Harmon, and Zach McGowan played with a bubble machine during their panel and during the closing ceremony cast members were taking shots for charity! Jo Garfein, Co-Founder of the non-profit Cancer Gets Lost, will be moderating and it is encouraged to donate any extras autographs to this great cause!

Meet New Friends:

A highlight for us during Conageddon is to be around other fans who are just as passionate about this show as we are. In this environment you will not be judged and it is a safe space for all fans. Even if you are considering Conageddon but are hesitant because you are going alone, everyone is super friendly and welcoming. (Side note: This is where we found most of our friends!)

Due to Conageddon being in a hotel, it makes it easier to spend time with those you meet during the weekend. Instead of going your separate ways after the con, most fans tend to hang around the hotel and have a good time while the con isn’t going on. Some of our favorite memories took place around the hotel, in the lobby, and racing between floors to visit friends in the middle of the night. The fun times go on long after the con ends for the day!

Shipping Off To Boston

These are just a few of the many reasons why fans of The 100 should be attending Conageddon, on April 3rd-5th 2020 at the Hilton Boston Logan Airport Hotel. Be sure to use the Conageddon link or call the hotel to book your room, as the con has a discounted rate for all attendees.
