‘The 100’ 6×03: “The Children of Gabriel” recap

WHAT IS HAPPENING!?

The 100 6×03 Season 6, Episode 3, “The Children of Gabriel” aired May 7th on The CW

This episode picks up right where the last one left off and it left us with more questions than answers. For example: What is up with the Primes and what happened to the Children of Gabriel? Is this all going to be some sort of flame situation all over again? Is Madi okay? IS CLARKE GETTING A PUPPY?! So. Many. Questions. Let’s dive in!

Meet the locals

Like we said, this episode picks right up where the last one left off and it’s a little crazed. Clarke and company are stunned by the children that they just met and now even more Sanctum residents have shown up. We are also (finally) introduced to J.R. Bourne’s character, Russell. He is in charge and it’s all very cult-ish, but he’s super charismatic so we’d follow him too tbh.

The Primes

The episode explains that the Prime families are the descendants of the four original families that came to Sanctum. It’s also revealed that they are Nightbloods and that being a Nightblood makes them royal. Russell’s daughter died so there is an opening in the Lightbourne fam and Clarke would definitely fit right in. Also, half of her people hate her and talk sh*t regularly so maybe she SHOULD join a new fam.

New Reapers?

Let’s talk about the Children of Gabriel. These are the Reaper looking peeps that live outside of the radiation shield. They are dressed like cyber-punk grounders and we are digging their crafty use of the forest as a weapon. Another thing to note about them is their title – Children of Gabriel. Gabriel was the name of the guy that Josephine was making out with in the flashback. We can’t wait to see more about what went down after the OG Russell killed everyone.

Murphy and his snake friend

Snakes heal people and make them see Hell, I guess?

Naming day

So, this whole thing raised a lot of questions. The tavern worker is clearly not royalty at this point, but the naming ceremony that is about to happen makes us think that Delilah has Nightblood and is possibly going to become a Prime? We aren’t sure about the logistics yet, but it seems very similar to the flame and all that jazz. Also, the Children of Gabriel took the heads of the Primes – could there be a chip in there? Also, we are equally mad and sad for Jordan after her blabbed and then

Octavia and Diyoza

Okay, when Diyoza thinks you murder too much, you may have a problem. After the Children of Gabriel ambush Madi, Gaia and Diyoza and knock them out with tranqs, Octavia swoops in and kills. Bellamy is over her shiz and leaves her in the woods. It’s cold, but maybe she will have some time for self reflection – or she’ll get eaten by a tree. Also, Diyoza’s reputation finally catches up to her and they haul her away. WE MISS HER ALREADY!

“She is.” and the best dressed award

Everyone got to see Clarke all dolled up for her dinner with Russell and his wife, and she was absolutely stunning! We only wish Bellamy had gotten to see her too! One thing we have to note about Bellamy and Clarke in this episode is how he stood up for her. Despite their distance and clashing, he still looks to her as their leader and gives zero fucks what the rest of the crew thinks. Long live #Bellarke.

There was a lot going on in this episode and we can’t wait to see how it will all shake out!
