FINALLY, we were given some insight into the very mysterious The 100 Season 6. The Season 6 trailer dropped and it left us with more questions than answers, but it gave us a glimpse into the “brave new world” that we will need to prepare for. There was a lot going on, but it was hard to tell exactly what any of it meant. These are our 5 biggest takeways.
Bellarke won’t be brushed aside
In The 100 Season 6 trailer we hear Bellamy calling Clarke out on leaving him to die in the fighting pits, but he also mentions that calls. In Season 5, Clarke called Bellamy everyday for six years and the fact that he knows this and is confronting Clarke is enough to send Bellarke shippers in a frenzy. An honest conversation between the two leads of this show is long overdue and we can’t wait to see them hashing things out.
It’s always sunny in Sanctum
Arguably the biggest reveal in this trailer is the sun induced madness. Psychosis due to the eclipsing suns is something that is very heavily featured and seems to tie into the “face your demons” tagline of the season. We see Octavia fighting her Blodreina self, everyone else raging out on each other, Clarke in Mount Weather – lots of dark days to choose from, so if this is something that happens often on the new planet, we are in for a wild ride. We are also loving the idea of the two suns maybe representing your self (old and new) and what that will symbolize when your new self tries to eclipse your past and the toll it takes.
He’s hot and probably evil, but we are super excited to see J.R. Bourne on our TV’s again! If you recall, he played Chris Argent on our beloved Teen Wolf and we have been missing him ever since that show ended. He is in charge and smiles a little too much for us to trust him in this show, but we are still excited to see what Russell is all about!
In this trailer, we still get a heavy dose of everyone shitting on Clarke and her mistakes, but we also get a glimpse of Clarke looking a little care-free. She was happy on Earth with Madi during those six years, but sadly we didn’t get to see much of that. We always get “beaten down Clarke” who has to apologize for the crime of fighting to live and fighting to keep her kid safe. We are ready for Book 2 to give us a world where Clarke Griffin isn’t held to a ridiculously higher standard than all of humanity. Let that girl LIVE!
There is definitely something up with this place and it’s giving us some strong Mount Weather vibes. Nothing is ever this perfect and we see that there is another group of people living in the woods outside of Russell’s picturesque city. In many ways, this season feels like a different show, but the Grounder-like people are definitely making this new planet feel like home.
