‘Shadowhunters’ – Secrets from the Set, 3×15: Practice makes perfect
That kickass fight? It was oh so fun!
“Secrets from the Set” is back! This week, it’s time to talk about what went down with Clary and Aline Penhallow. As we all know, first meetings can be awkward, but seldom has a meeting gone south as quickly as that between these two Shadowhunter ladies.
Amid all the heavy drama and angst, their kickass fight scene really stood out. The intro alone was an epic exchange of verbal blows:
Clary: “You’re Consul Penhallow’s daughter?”
Aline: “Aline. You’re Valentine’s daughter?”
Clary: “Unfortunately.”
The actual fight that followed certainly didn’t disappoint! Katherine McNamara and Jacky Lai took a lot of time off-set to practice every move and made sure they really got it down. Kat revealed that while it was the most difficult fight she had ever done for the show, it was also her favorite and oh so much fun.
Despite the fact that the two women had never worked together previously, everything “came together perfectly” and you can really feel the chemistry between them. What a great debut for Jacky Lai! We can’t wait to see more of her in the upcoming episodes.
