‘Charmed’ 1×12 Recap: “You’re Dead To Me”

Necromancer's, Witches, Family Reunions...

Charmed 1×12 recap: Season 1, Episode 12, “You’re Dead To Me” Aired February 17th, 2019.

Previously on Charmed, we found out the shocking news that Macy had been resurrected as a child. This episode, Macy explores more about her death and why she was resurrected by a Necromancer, Mel learns more about Nico’s life without her, whilst Maggie and Parker have a bitter sweet reunion.

Here is what happened on Charmed, 1×12!

Macy’s ressurection

After the intense cliffhanger of finding out that Macy was brought back to life, the episode starts with the night of Macy’s resurrection. Macy’s mother, Marisol, breaks a Necromancer out of Tartarus in order to bring Macy back – the consequence being she will only have two years with her child and then after that, she is not allowed to see her, as it can lead to Macy’s death again.

Harry spoke with Macy about how he had also died and been brought back to life by the elders, warning her that bringing back the Necromancer from twenty eight years ago was only going to make things worse, as they are extremely untrustworthy. However, Macy needed these answers to be able to move forward, which introduced us to Necromancer, Knansie.

A past relationship rekindled

When Mel finds out that in a world where Nico and her don’t exist, Nico has taken up the job as P.I instead of what she used to be, a detective, Mel meets her in their favorite coffee shop to get to the bottom of it. She explained that being a detective didn’t feel like the right path for her and being P.I allowed her to help people. Although at the end of the episode Mel has been convinced by Harry to let go of Nico and her past, prior to that Nico had seen the scar on Mel’s shoulder and we see Nico researching magic and Mel’s scar – meaning this still isn’t the last we’ll see of her.

Necromancer on the loose

Although Macy is desperate to find more out about her resurrection, unfortunately her doing so had caused Knansie danger. Years ago, when Knansie refused to resurrect a witches husband, the witch (Cyd) has been on the hunt ever since to sought out revenge on allowing her husband to turn in to a demon and die.

Macy believes that the darkness inside of her has come from her resurrection and fears that her time of becoming a demon is also still yet to come. It also doesn’t help when herself, Maggie and Knansie are fighting Cyd at their home, causing Macy to very angrily throw Cyd out of the window and knock her unconscious – surprising not only her sister and the Necromancer, but also the viewers.

A trip to Manchester, England

In an attempt to join Maggie and Macy on defeating Cyd, Harry accidentally transports himself and Mel to Manchester, England. We find out that this happened because his mind and powers are distracted after finding out about his son’s existence, meaning his attention was divided and he couldn’t be the girls Whitelighter anymore.

Mel decides to help Harry search for his son and when they are drawn to a church, Harry finds the christening records of his wife, Clara and his son, Carter. When Harry see’s Carter happily playing with his grand-children, he decides to not approach his son and leave him be to live his life. Harry re-commits himself back to the Charmed ones, also bringing his powers back.

Parker to the rescue

After knocking Cyd unconscious and bounding her, she still managed to escape and found herself at the Phi Delta Stoplight party that Maggie was attending.

Maggie was hesitant to go at first due to the fact her demon ex-boyfriend was also attending, however she persevered and dressed in green to attract other single guys. Except, no matter how many of them she spoke to, she couldn’t open up to any of them the way she could with Parker.

Cyd follows Maggie in to the bathroom, in which leads Maggie to be missing – Parker, Macy and Knansie eventually coming to her rescue. We see Maggie trapped in an enchanted shower stall that Cyd had placed her in to drown.

Eventually when they get Maggie out of the stall, Knansie explains that she made a pact with a demon to keep her young. Due to this pact, whenever she resurrects somebody, she used demon blood to do so, causing them to also turn in to demons.

Unfortunately for Macy, this confirms her doubts of the possibility that she will turn in to a demon and/or ignite the darkness inside of her.

In another fight between Knansie and Cyd, Parker jumps in to stop it and is struck by Knansie, not knowing her is part demon. Harming a demon means that her pact has now been broken and she curls up in a corner of the bathroom withering away.

With Maggie and Parker now back on somewhat of good terms, all was finally perking up again, however, we soon also learn that Alistair is using Lucy to bring Maggie and Parker together for one of his, of course, evil plans.
