‘Shadowhunters’ 3B Premiere: Spoiler free review and photo preview

You aren't ready, ya'll.

Shadowhunters 3B Premiere, “Lost Souls,” airs Feb. 25th on Freeform – Spoiler Free Review

By the angel – it feels like it’s been an eternity since 3A ended, but we are finally getting new episodes of Shadowhunters! The first half of Season 3 ended with Clary’s fate unknown and our jaws on the floor. We only caught a glimpse of the aftermath, but now we are getting the full story. It’s a big, emotional and action packed episode. BUCKLE UP!

Here’s what you can expect when Shadowhunters 3B premieres on Feb. 25th!

Feels

Whoa. We knew that this would be an emotional episode, but they jump right into it with a gut punch to the heart. You will see how everyone is coping – or “coping” in some cases. Prepare to feel your feelings.

Malec

They have somehow managed to raise the bar of Malec perfection even higher in this episode. From Alec telling Magnus that he’s beautiful, to the BABYSITTING, to kisses – this will make your Malec loving heart very full.

Clary and Jonathan

It’s such an interesting dynamic and we really need more of it. Like – yeah, it’s a THING. Also, Luke Baines is AMAZING in this role. There is also a big “WHOA” moment that we were NOT ready for!

Grief

This episode also does a great job of addressing the different ways people grieve and that there really is no “right” way to handle a loss. They are all leaning on each other to get through things. It also seems like every character represents a different stage of grief, which is a great way to show the collective grief of these characters.

Isabelle

She isn’t always billed as such, but this episode makes it clear that Isabelle is the emotional pillar holding everyone up in this show. She is the rock for many of the characters right now. She’s also still fighting for what’s right, regardless of her grief and it makes us love her even more.

Luke

We were so quick to wonder how Jace and Simon were doing with the loss of Clary, but who we really should have been worried about was Luke. He was basically her father and is not coping. Unhinged is the best way to describe his vibe in the 3B premiere.

Maia and Simon

If you were wondering about the status of this couple, Shadowhunters 3B premiere gives some much needed attention to this relationship.

We can’t wait to watch this with the Shadowhunters fans on Feb. 25th! It’s been a very trying hiatus for this fandom, and this episode really delivers on the feels, the action and the Malec – lots of Malec.
