#ShadowhuntersPosterChallenge Part 3: Fan art of Lilith and the Morgensterns
Part 3 in our fan art appreciation series
Spoiler warning: This #ShadowhuntersPosterChallenge discusses events leading up to the newest season!
In this edition of our #ShadowhuntersPosterChallenge appreciation series, we will focus on two charismatic and dark characters: Give it up for Lilith (Anna Hopkins) and Jonathan (Luke Baines)! Jonathan, I hear you say? Isn’t he dead? And wasn’t he played by Will Tudor before? Yep, right.
But, thing is, that wasn’t the “real” Jonathan. He only stole the identity of a British Shadowhunter named Sebastian Verlac and later was killed by Jace. While dying, Jonathan called out to his “mother.” Since then, Lilith has tried to revive her precious son and certainly has no chill about it.

In an interview with the update account ShumDario News, Anna comments:
“Sadly, she doesn’t have any humanity, she doesn’t care for humans. […] She also is able to conjure up these demons and in a sense they sort of become her children. […] That’s the theme of Lilith – she is in a very, very dark, inhuman sort of way very motherly. So when it comes to the carnage that she causes, all she sees is that they are just tools in her plan that she believes is completely justified. […] But she’s certainly not affected by the things that might affect people in this realm.”

The mid-season finale saw Lilith finally succeed. Enter Luke Baines. There’s been a lot of excitement about Luke joining the cast. Needless to say, the fandom is anxious to meet the real Jonathan Morgenstern. And tag-teaming with Lilith? These two will sure raise hell and take being a villain to a whole new level!

Posters: Lilith, Jonathan and the Morgenstern siblings
But as always, there are endless shades between black and white. Even villains as hellish as Lilith and Jonathan have their fair share of vulnerabilities and insecurities. Unsurprisingly, the posters dedicated to them reflect this. As for how Clary will deal with getting to know her brother? Well, it’s certainly going to be interesting!
