The actor also was the writer, director, and producer for this project which highlights the struggles that so many veterans face when they return from war. The film tells the story of Iraq War vet, Will Gardner (Martini).
Gardner struggles with numerous setbacks as he attempts to re-acclimate himself to life away from war. The movie takes the vet on a journey as he connects with other veterans and his young son. Hit play and listen in as Martini discusses the challenges he faced in putting this project together and what inspired him to tell this harrowing story. The film is unflinching in offering a harsh view of realities faced by so many of the veterans who sacrifice so much for the protection of their country.
The film officially debuts in theaters and VOD on January 11th and via Blu-ray/DVD on February 19th. A portion of the film’s proceeds will be donated to three charities (Higher Ground, Warriors Heart, and the Gary Sinise Foundation) that support veterans suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), PTSD, and veteran homelessness.
