‘Shadowhunters’: 3 things we loved about Katherine McNamara’s PCA speech

She is a true angel.

Spoiler alert: Katherine McNamara’s PCA speech was amazing! The People’s Choice Awards aired November 11, 2018 and the Shadowhunters fans were thrilled! Not only did the show win 2018 Show of the Year, Male TV Star of 2018 (Harry Shum, Jr.) and Bingeworthy Show of 2018, but our favorite leading lady, Katherine McNamara, won Female TV Star of 2018!

Like the rest of the cast, McNamara has been very supportive of the show’s fandom, referring to them as Angels. She took the time to give the fans an extra special shoutout during her acceptance speech and it was incredibly heartwarming.

Here are our favorite moments:

#1 The beginning. She began her acceptance with a Clary quote from City of Ashes because she is a fan, just like us! She said “When you love someone, you don’t have a choice. Love takes your choices away.” And before she thanks anyone, she thanks the fans.

#2 The middle. She then goes on to thank the network, Netflix and her amazing cast because she is a class act. Also, she mentioned the pranks in her speech and now we want all of the deets on those!

#3 The end. She again thanks the fans for creating a sense of love and unity in a divided world. She ends her speech by telling the fans (her Angels) that they are her heroes. LOVE!

That’s right, we loved every damn word. Beginning, middle and end.
