Fall TV season is in full swing, and with that comes shows we know and love, as well as new shows from fandoms we’ve adored for years. The Vampire Diaries and The Originals fans can rest easy knowing that their Mikaelson itch will be scratched this fall with yet another spinoff, Legacies. We know the official characters that have been announced for The CW’s Legacies, but it’s way more fun to theorize, amiright, TVDU fans? If series creator and executive producer Julie Plec is good at one thing, it’s the crazy twists.

Legacies is in a great position for some killer twists (no pun intended), and included with that are dream castings. Here’s a quick list of dream characters we *Hope* to see on the show.
1. The child of Elena Gilbert and Damon Salvatore
Elena’s medical office is teased in the Legacies promo, so maybe that means their child will be in the show? When we last saw Elena and Damon they were both human, so technically they could have a child. Even if that child is human, Elena carries the doppleganger/traveler gene, so there’s some existing supernatural awesomeness that would fill The Salvatore Boarding School for the Young & Gifted’s criteria. Plus… it used to be Damon’s house so he can probably go there whenever he wants.

2. A Salvatore descendant
In TVD, Stefan had a child at one point pre-vampire turn and that child was presumed dead at the hand’s of an asshole named Julian. Reddit grumblings have hinted that maybe the baby was cloaked and actually survived, making it possible for the Salvatore line to carry on. As TVD fans know, Stefan was also a doppleganger, so who knows what other kind of supernatural activity that could spawn in Mystic Falls.

3. DALARIC REUNION
This isn’t technically a dream character cast, it’s just my hope for one of the greatest on-screen bromances ever to grace our screens again. Damon murdered his first wife, and yet they’re still best buds. They have a lot to teach these kids about getting over past crimes for the greater good. Plus, I bet Julie Plec’s mouth is watering at the thought of writing dialogue between those two again. Can we get a cameo? Either way, the presence of a Salvatore descendant/child of Damon and Elena would bring back all sorts of feels for Alaric, and it would be such great nostalgia to see.
