Here’s a great look at Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker in DC’s upcoming standalone film about the infamous comic book villain. Just Jared posted some awesome photos of Phoenix on what appears to be set of the Joker on Sunday, Sept. 16 in Harlem, New York City. The actor (who had been losing weight for his role as the gaunt, murderous maniac) is pictured filming with an actor in a clown costume. Phoenix is also pictured here carrying around a brown paper bag. WHAT’S IN THE BAG?
DC’s Joker standalone film is directed and co-written by Todd Phillips, and will also stars Robert De Niro, Marc Maron, and Zazie Beetz.
The Joker movie is set to be released in theaters on Oct. 4, 2019.
