The first book comes out on October 2 and is all about the creatures that featured in the Harry Potter series.  From Insight Editions, this book is beautifully illustrated. It features information on the background on the creature’s appearance in the movies as well as insider knowledge on the creation and designs that the concept artists used. For example, the Hungarian Horntail was made using facial features of rhinos, lizards, snakes, and tortoises. Who knew?

It also has pop up extras like the Maurader’s map, as well as little tidbits of information about what happened in the location or the significance of that place. It’s the best way to visit Hogwarts if you can’t make it to the Wizarding World in Florida.
