If you loved Lost, Once Upon a Time or just like a good mystery, Manifest might be the show for you! If you aren’t familiar with NBC’s new mysterious drama, here is the official description:
When Montego Air Flight 828 landed safely after a turbulent but routine flight, the crew and passengers were relieved. Yet in the span of those few hours, the world had aged five years and their friends, families and colleagues, after mourning their loss, had given up hope and moved on. Now, faced with the impossible, they’re all given a second chance. But as their new realities become clear, a deeper mystery unfolds and some of the returned passengers soon realize they may be meant for something greater than they ever thought possible. From Robert Zemeckis, Jack Rapke, Jeff Rake and Jackie Levine comes an emotionally rich, unexpected journey into a world grounded in hope, heart and destiny.
In honor of the show’s flight number (Flight 828), NBC has released a first look at the show’s first act on August 28th! In the clip, we see how this simple oversold flight on April 7, 2013 changed everything for one family. A young woman, unsure of the future of her love life (Melissa Roxburgh), her nephew – a young boy with cancer and her brother, the boy’s father (Josh Dallas) are at the center of the clip.
The three decide to hang back and take the ill-fated Flight 828 while the rest of their family takes an earlier flight home from a tropical vacation. Everything seems normal until a rough patch of turbulence changes everything! It’s a powerful, emotional and gripping first look at the mystery of Flight 828.
