The 100 5×10 Recap: “The Warriors Will,” Aired July 17, 2018
How do you stop a war? That’s the question everyone is asking, but only one fella has the answer – Monty! As wonderful as Monty’s floral plan was, it could not stop the hellfire that Blodreina reigned upon the people she has been keeping alive all this time. Let’s break that down, as well as the Blake sibling feels!
Madi and Clarke. Mothers and daughters will always have conflicting opinions, but this situation has an added layer of tension. Madi isn’t just experiencing rebellious teen angst, she is seeing the pain and death of all of the Commanders before her (Lexa included). It’s a sore spot for Clarke and it’s not making this turn of events any easier.
Commander drama. Who knew that a little black blood would bring such drama to Wonkru! Now that Madi has been outed as the true Commander, half of Wonkru is starting to doubt the leadership of Octavia. Not even a time jump could kill that religion, even if we kinda wanted it to!
What’s up Doc? Abby’s addiction has gone full scale and is now making her do things we never would have imagined. Like what you wonder? How about letting a cannibal chew on some people so she can get her pill fix. Curing McCreary really does seem like the lesser of two evils in this situation, but whatevs Abby. Let’s just hope Clarke can save her!
The Blakes. The flashbacks, the sentiments – GAH! The Blake sibling scene was absolutely heartbreaking. Octavia has painted herself into a deadly corner that even she can’t escape from. But it’s clear that under that makeup and the dictator outfit, Octavia is still the girl under the floor who needs her needs her big brother’s love more than anything. She doesn’t want to see Indra or her brother die, but she will gladly give Bellamy tips in order to make sure he lives to poison her another day.
“I’ll kill you quickly, I promise.” – Indra (to Bellamy)
Blodreina no more? All it took for Octavia to end her destructive bunker reign was Monty and some flowers. After Monty exposed Octavia for ignoring the success in the farm, her people flip. It’s crazy to think that her power was that hinged on her being the prime provider of sustainable life that the moment it’s brought into question, they rage out on her. In true crazy, blood smeared dictator fashion, Octavia burned the farm down and got her war after all. Damn girl.
May we meet again!
