The weekend of Apr. 6th, 2018, I was introduced to the most inclusive, happy, and loving convention in America, Clexacon! Clexacon resides in the heart of Las Vegas at the Tropicana. If you want five days of non-stop support and fun, then this con is the one for you.
The only thing Clexacon goers love more than each other is Wynonna Earp! After meeting some of its stars this weekend, I can’t say I blame them.
Let’s take a minute to break down the Earpiness of this convention!
Mama Earp

Most of the attendees were made up of Earpers. The world’s biggest Wynonna fans were all in one place. The largest fan however, was showrunner Emily Andras herself! No one is more proud of her show and fans than this woman.
Emily greeted each fan with a hug and a smile. Let me tell you, there were a lot of fans to greet. After her conversation with each of them, she would close out the meet with another hug. If you haven’t gotten an Andras’ hug, you are missing out.
I know what you’re thinking, what about the others? Dominique Provost-Chalkley, Katherine Barrell, and Tamara Duarte are just as sweet and bubbly as their wonderful showrunner!
Season 3 News

In addition to meeting the lovely actors, I had the privilege of going to their panel. Going to a Clexacon panel is like going to therapy. You end up laughing, crying, and announcing your feels to everyone in the room.
These actors truly care about their LGBT fans. “It hurts me to see what you had to go through growing up,” was Katherine Barrell’s response to people growing up without shows like Wynonna Earp in their life. Wynonna’s positive queer representation is a huge deal to so many people. Someone pass the tissues.
What did I learn about Season 3?
- #Wayhaught are enjoying the domestic life at the beginning of the season.
- We find out more about Nicole’s backstory.
- Black Badge comes back in a big way.
- Is Rosita coming back? …Probably.
Are you excited? Me too!!!!
Love

Most of the cast will tell you that Clexacon is their favorite con. I now know why. Clexacon empowers the LGBT community to just be you. It invites all people to a safe environment. With its jam-packed con schedule full of panels and workshops, plus its wonderful before and after events, it definitely tops the charts in my book!
Thank you Clexacon and Wynonna Earp for the lovely hospitality and good times! I’ll see you next year!
