The Crossing, Ep 1×02, “A Shadow Out of Time” aired on April 9, 2018

This week’s all-new episode, “A Shadow Out of Time” takes us to the future for brief glimpses of Reece’s connection to Leah. As we saw in the pilot, there’s not much Reece won’t do to protect her daughter. What we do learn is that Reece found Leah when she was a baby and the Apex hid the baby rather than give her up. The show also introduces the “mantels disease” that was created by the Apex. The disease is deadly in humans and has decimated much of the future population. Now we discover that Leah has brought the disease with her to the time of the “Long Peace”. It seems that the girl needs antibodies that can only be found in Apex blood. Reece’s blood.
