For our Pure Fandom Week that celebrated The CW’s The 100, we asked fans of the show to tell us why they love Bellarke. Here are some of our favorite tweets about Bellamy and Clarke’s relationship. You may notice a big theme of respect, trust, and friendship, and we couldn’t love that more.
I love that 2 people with different backgrounds, experiences, & personalities can come together in a time of need & from there build a lasting relationship with so much trust, respect, love. They understand, forgive & fiercely protect each other and that makes me root for them 💙 pic.twitter.com/wIdX567iDJ

Trust, love, respect, they forgive each other all their faults and the horrible things they have had to do don’t make them look down on each other. They always have each others backs, and are an amazing team….plus @MisElizaJane + @WildpipM have crazy chemistry!!! So that helps!

It’s so rare to see a relationship on TV founded on trust, compassion, and friendship. Even though these tend to be the most solid relationships, TV excludes them in favor of “insta-love stories.” But Bellamy and Clarke represent the kind of relationship I hope to have one day.

Bellarke is truly the most beautiful portrayal of forgiveness in love to ever grace a television screen. ❤#Bellarke

#Bellarke are two sides of the same coin. They’re the head and the heart. They forgive each other when nobody else does. They understand and love each other without even needing to say it. They just get it. They’re everything.

Disclaimer: I read them as platonic. And as such, their support for one another through some pretty horrific stuff is at the heart of this show. #The100 is about friends and found families at its foundation, and Bellamy and Clarke are the heart and head of the show.

I love the development of their relationship.
Their friendship is even more important to me than the eventual romance between them… they care about each other so much, but still they know each other so well, even when they can’t understand each other’s choices.
I just love them

I’ve never seen any other couple respect each other the way they do. With them, it’s not all about romance, it’s about partnership, friendship and respect. I can’t put into words how amazing it is to see their development on screen.

I haven’t been this obsessed with a TV show since Star Trek: The Next Generation ended in 1994. And every week I’m driven to #The100 yearning to see the two of them on-screen at the same time. That is simply when the magic happens. (And I’m still in the 18 to 49 demographic.)

I love that they’re able to stand on their own separately but somehow they just bring out the best in each other. Everything works on all cylinders when they’re together. They inspire each other. Their hope and faith in one another is such a positive part of a rather tragic show.
