‘The 100’ fans celebrate the power of Clexa on Twitter

The relationship that developed between Clarke (Princess of the sky) and Lexa (Commander of the ground), was one for the ages. They were drawn together during a chaotic struggle between their people. They made an amazing team as allies, but there was a clear spark between them from the start. That electricity would only grow! Their love was realized on our screens and it was truly remarkable to watch.

We all know what happened next. We could write thousands of words on the shock waves that ripped through the fandom following Lexa’s death. It was painful and upsetting to have this amazing lesbian character killed in such a lazy, stereotypical way. The anger and frustration will never truly fade, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still shine a light on the positivity that Clexa has brought us! We want to celebrate the relationship at the core of it all.

We asked fans on twitter what Clexa means to them, and here are some of the amazing responses:

Clexa made real world change.

Love is love is love.

An unselfish love at that.

Representation and inspiration.

Clexa Kru.

Unity for the greater good

Shoutout to this fan who has a stunning bedroom honoring the Commander.
