‘The Walking Dead’ 8×13: 22 Thoughts we had while watching “Do Not Send Us Astray”

The Walking Dead recap, Season 8, Episode 13, “Do Not Send Us Astray,” Aired March 25, 2018

After all of the excitement and flaming bats of last week’s episode, this week has a lot to live up to. Does this episode match the tension of last week? Or are we left with a disappointing taste in our mouth? Hopefully the former and the shows keeps that momentum going in The Walking Dead 8×13.

Here are 22 thoughts I had while watching ” Do Not Send Us Astray”

Oh, man. Morgan has gone full on crazy and it is probably not good to start seeing ghosts right about now, with the Saviors beating down your door.

Stay in the house young Henry, don’t be a young Carl and get someone killed. Wait, of course he is going to leave, who am I kidding?

Damn, this lady is mean. Why won’t she chill out and let this new doctor help?

Wait, Maggie calls herself The Widow? Because that’s kinda weird.

Daryl is a hell of a rider, because it seems like firing that gun would be a challenge.

Is Rick the only one that ran out of bullets? Because everyone else seems to have a unlimited supply.

Oh yeah, I forgot Tara was with the Governor. That feels like a really long time ago.

Ha, ha, ha, what? “I saved you this turnip”. What a random thing to say right now.

OK now I feel bad. Just eat the turnip Rick. She just wants you to eat healthy.

And there goes Henry and there’s no way this ends well. He is for sure gonna screw something up.

Why is Rick so against getting his wound be treated? Like what else are you doing right now man?

AMC

Zombie House! The worst slumber party ever.

This is gonna get really ugly when the injured start turning. These people are packed in this house like rats.

And it begins. This is not going to be good.

OK come on, no one heard that guy fall down the stairs?! I might be a heavy sleeper, but there is no way I wouldn’t hear that. How about all that snarling and growling? No? Nothing?

Great, here’s Henry to screw something up. Stop talking to Gregory and for sure don’t give him that gun. Actually, just walk away now.

Holy shit!!!!! Yeah, I would say this chemical warfare plan is working pretty well. Complete chaos at the Hilltop right now.

AMC

Wow, Henry. You might be the dumbest kid on this show yet and that is saying something. Good job letting everyone escape for no reason at all.

If you think about it, this is all kind of Eugene’s fault because he gave Negan the idea for this plan.

I love that Carol just does what she needs to do. No hesitation at all, killing people she cares about.

Hey, there you are, Jesus! I honestly forgot you were a character on this show. He is a great character and his lack of use in the second half of this season has been a travesty.

Who cares where Henry is? Just let him go away.

I’ll pass on the ghost visions. They weren’t good when Rick was seeing Lori and they aren’t good now. Let’s just forget this tactic moving forward.

AMC

Wow.

OK, that zombie scene was pretty intense. There was a level of fear there that the show has been missing for awhile. I’ll admit, I was skeptical that this episode could match the intensity of last weeks, but overall I think it did a pretty good job. The lack of Negan is a little disappointing, and at some point Jesus needs to have some lines, right? Seriously, has he spoken in the second half yet? At least we are getting more Simon, because he is just fantastic.
