The Bachelor: Season 22, Episode 7, Aired Feb. 12, 2018

It’s time for fine wine and fine dining this week on The Bachelor. Arie and the ladies are in Tuscany, Italy for the week. At the beginning of the week, Chris Harrison drops a bombshell on the ladies. There will not be a rose ceremony this week! Everyone’s fate will be decided on the dates. There will be three one-on-one dates and one group date. The wine is abundant and so are the tears. Let’s recap!

Ciao, Bella!

At least that’s how Arie greeted his first date of the week! Becca K. is the lucky recipient of the first one-on-one. Becca also got the first ever one-on-one date this season, if you remember back that far. Arie and Becca stroll through the streets of Italy. They try the wine, the bread, and the cheese. They don’t seem to let go of each other the entire time they’re together. It’s clear that Arie has strong feelings for Becca, but will they be enough?

At dinner that night, Becca tells Arie that she is falling for him. It scares her but she can’t wait for him to come to her hometown and meet her family. These are the things that Arie is looking to hear from the women. It’s getting down to the wired so tough decisions will have to be made. Arie gives the date rose to Becca so we know she’s safe. At least for now.

The anticipation is killing some of the ladies!

Well, it turns out that Jacqueline can’t handle the pressure of the process. She’s dying with anticipation which is causing her to doubt her feelings for Arie. She doesn’t know if she’s in love with the thought of love or if she really has feelings for him. It’s sad that it took her getting to Italy to realize all of this. Also, think of the ladies that went home while she was stuck in her head!

Jacqueline goes to Arie to confess all of this to him. It’s very dramatic with the tears and the kissing. Oh yeah, you didn’t know when you break up with someone you need to kiss them non-stop? Neither did we! However, Jacqueline decides to send herself home this week. She’s so afraid that Arie is going to do it, she just took care of it for him.

Beautiful, but shy.

The second one-on-one date is awarded to Lauren B. She vows to make herself more open and available to Arie. She has walls built up because she’s been hurt before. Arie takes her on a bike ride through Tuscany. They stop to look at art and obtain things to have a picnic. Lauren does try to open up some but it’s not enough. Arie keeps saying that he has such strong feelings for Lauren. At this point, we’re thinking this all has to be based on her looks because their dates are just so awkward!

Finally, at dinner, Lauren tells Arie that she is falling for him. She does want to be open to love and she does want to get married. This takes Arie by surprise and causes him to excuse himself from the table to be alone. That’s exactly what you should do Arie! Leave the girl who hasn’t opened up all season alone after she pours her heart out. Maybe these two are so awkward separately they make up the perfect pair!

Arie returns to the table and lets Lauren know that he thinks he’s falling in love with her also. We thought he wasn’t supposed to confess feelings of love until the end? Lauren gets the rose and Arie gets to push her up against a rock wall to make-out. Reminiscent of his time with Emily on the Bachelorette? Yeah, we thought so too.

Truffles anyone?

Oh, you thought we meant desert? In Italy, truffles refer to fungus. Fresh from the ground. This is what Arie has planned for his one-on-one with Sienne. They’re going hunting for truffles. It’s a good thing this chick is up for anything. Looking for fungus doesn’t sound like a great time but Arie and Sienne make it work. The leader of the truffle hunt invites the two of them back to his house for a family dinner after the hunt.

Sienne gets to help prepare the meal and of course, they have fresh truffles to eat! While their day together was good, Arie sends Sienne home at dinner that night. She confesses that she doesn’t want things to end with them so when he sends her home she’s totally blindsided. Sienne lets Arie know that if he had been more open with her on what he was feeling she wouldn’t be so shocked.

Time for a threesome!

Get your minds out of the gutter! The last date of the week is a group date with the remaining three ladies. Bekah M., Tia, and Kendall. If you’re like us you’re thinking that Kendall is going to be sent packing. If we were in Italy and said this to Arie his response would probably be: “Hold my wine!” Has anything actually gone the way we thought it would?

He starts with Kendall. She tells him how much she’d like to bring him to her home to meet her family, they make-out, and she’s feeling pretty confident. Tia is next and instead of talking about herself, she tells Arie that she doesn’t think Bekah is ready for marriage. To be honest, we have our doubts too. Bekah is great, don’t get us wrong, but she’s so young! Tia is afraid of being sent home knowing that Bekah isn’t ready for everything Arie brings to the table.

Bekah gets her turn and is all about the drama. She turns on the waterworks big time. Full-on ugly cry! She tells Arie she doesn’t like it when people don’t get her. Okay, this is why you’re bawling? He tries to reassure her but she decides them making out will solve all of their problems. The rose for the first part of the date goes surprisingly to Kendall! Work-it girl!

The world’s most awkward dinner.

The final two ladies head to dinner with Arie. At the end of the night, we’ll either be saying goodbye to Tia or Bekah. Does anyone want to make any wagers on who it will be? Arie takes Tia aside and asks her what it would be like to travel to her hometown. It’s time to talk about yourself, girlfriend. Talk yourself up!

Bekah tries again to woo Arie with seduction. She also tells him that she thinks she’s falling in love with him. Sadly, it’s not enough to keep her in the competition. A turn we didn’t see coming, that’s for sure. Arie gives the rose to Tia and walks Bekah out. She’s gracious but devastated. We’re back to the ugly crying in the limo.
