The Bachelor: Season 22, Episode 06, Part 2, Aired Feb. 05, 2018
This week on The Bachelor, Arie and the ladies are in Paris. Is there anything more romantic than that? We think not! We hope that the city of love is ready for the drama ten beautiful ladies and one eligible bachelor brings. This week, there will be two one-on-one dates, one group date, and the first ever two-on-one dates this season. Will Krystal go home this week? Let’s find out!
There’s nothing like a stroll in Paris.
The first one-on-one date goes to the last Lauren standing. Lauren is very shy and quiet so it’s been hard for Arie to get to know her. Arie picks Lauren up in a small boat. They sail to the romantic streets of Paris to take a walk. This is probably the most awkward date this show has seen this season. Noone is talking and they’re just kind of strolling around.
Arie is beginning to wonder if Lauren is even into him at all. Lauren tells him at dinner that she doesn’t really open up to people until she trusts them. To try to gain her trust, Arie tells her a story about a girlfriend that was pregnant with his child. She had a miscarriage and left him. Lauren lets Arie in a little by telling him that she was once engaged. The date still seems very awkward, but Arie gives Lauren the date rose.
The group date is made up of Becca K, Bekah M, Sienne, Jenna, Tia, and Chelsea. Arie takes them to Moulin Rouge. The ladies learn the dance and are made over to look like real Moulin Rouge dancers. They’re told whoever gets the date rose will dance with Arie on stage that night. All of the girls were good sports, even though they were very uncomfortable. Well, everyone except Bekah M.
Bekah seems to be game for anything. It’s pretty obvious she’s getting the date rose, and she does! The rest of the ladies get to watch the two of them dance on stage during the Moulin Rouge show. Some are upset because she’s getting that extra time with Arie. It’s not really extra quality time, but they’re still mad. These ladies are hard to please!
Don’t let the door hit ya.
Well, you can finish that saying however you like! Kendall and Krystal are chosen for the first two-on-one date. That means one of them will stay, and one of them will go home. We know what you’re thinking—poor Kendall! Don’t count her out yet. Arie takes them to a chateau in the French countryside. There’s a maze made of bushes and everything. Kendall gets lost in the maze and keeps ending up at the beginning.
Krystal, of course, goes on and on about how she’ll be getting a rose. She even goes as far to tell Arie that she doesn’t think that Kendall is ready for marriage. Was anyone really surprised? She’s going to do whatever she can to sabotage all of the other ladies. She’s so full of herself, she needs her own zip code! There’s confidence, then there’s Krystal! If we have to hear her say how no one else there is on her level again, we might throw up!
Arie tells Kendall what Krystal said. She tells him that she does want to find love, and she does want to get married. She just hasn’t found anyone up to this point to do those things with. Arie makes the ladies sweat it out until dinner to find out who will be getting the rose. Ultimately, it’s Kendall that gets the rose! Buh bye, Krystal! We’d say we’re going to miss you, but we’d be lying!
Shopping in Paris.
Jacqueline gets the second one-on-one date of the week. Arie takes her shopping in an upscale shop in the heart of Paris. It’s a good thing, too, because that floral dress she had on wasn’t doing her any favors! She chooses a sexy black dress and off to dinner they go. Jacqueline is very afraid of going home. She feels like she and Arie have a connection but that it might not be strong enough to keep her there.
Arie tells her that she’s so intelligent and so independent that he feels intimidated by her a bit. Well, that was unexpected! He in no way wants to hold her back from achieving her goals. Jacqueline confesses that she really wants to stay and that he isn’t holding her back. It was enough to convince Arie to keep her around another week, and she gets the date rose.
It’s been real, Paris!
Once again, the rose ceremony is taking place sans cocktail party. Come on, Arie! Give these ladies a drink! Arie has already given out three of the six roses, so this is going to be a quick one. Only two more ladies have to go home since Krystal was already put on the first train out of dodge.
It’s Jenna and Chelsea that are next to go home. We were a little shocked by Chelsea leaving if we’re being honest! Chelsea and Arie seemed to have a strong bond, but in the end, it wasn’t strong enough. It’s getting down to the wire, so Arie has to be really selective with who he keeps around.
Lauren has a meltdown after the rose ceremony. She’s off by herself and we can’t see who she’s talking to, but she’s losing her mind! She says that she doesn’t know if she can handle watching him with everyone else. It’s just too hard for her. We’ll have to wait and see if she’s going to be the new drama queen of the group. We definitely see potential!
What did you think of this episode of The Bachelor? Are you relieved that Krystal went home? Does anyone else think she’ll be cast as the new Bachelorette? She definitely has plenty of personalities for her own show! Did you have as much fun in Paris as we did? Don’t get too comfortable, though, because next week, we’re off to Tuscany!
