Supergirl recap: Season 3, Episode 10, “Legion of Super-Heroes” Aired January 16, 2018.
We’re back! How are you my Superfans? I have missed you. What did you think of the return of Supergirl?
Let’s break down the top 5 moments of last night’s episode!
1. Legion Unite!
Supergirl is still in a coma from her battle with Reign. Supergirl’s run-in has been broadcasting across the city. People are hiding in terror. Reign is terrorizing the streets. The DEO is regrouping.
Alex requests the aide of Saturn Girl and Mon-El. Unfortunately, due to the events of their future they are unable to help. Once again Mon-El is useless. Mon-El does bring in another Legionnaire, to help with Kara’s condition.
2. Brainiac 5
Meet Brainiac 5, our newest Legionnaire! Brainiac pops into Kara’s head to help wake her up. Their first introduction is quite hilarious.
- Brainiac’s supreme intellect makes it hard to communicate.
- Kara is physically fine, but she can’t wake up. Her sub-conscious will not let her.
- They work together to find the root of the problem.
3. A new relationship emerges.
The media coverage of Reign strikes fear into National City. Lena and James are working around the clock. They both decide to take some time to talk about their kiss. Boy is the conversation awkward.
“Are you scared because Kara and you used to date?”
Que awkward silence.
“Is it because I am a Luthor?”
No, Lena. It is because James is concerned about the fact that Kara is in a coma. He of course can’t tell her that.
“No, it is just that… Kara is sick, really sick.”
What is Lena’s fix to the situation? She is going to storm right over there and see if her friend is alright!
4. Poor J’onn
James informs Winn, Lena is on her way over. Winn runs to J’onn. We all know where this is going…
Poor J’onn, is always being asked to put on his Supergirl body. A reluctant J’onn has to sit through Lena’s 20 minute conversation about James’ kissing abilities.
Yes, it is as funny as it sounds!
5. Reign begins her rise.
Reign is killing both bad and good people. The Legion decides it is worth the risk to reunite and fight. They along with J’onn fight to put Reign down.
- We finally get to see Saturn Girl’s powers. I was a little disappointed. The character is much stronger in the comics. Maybe she is new?
- Mon-El acts like he has never fought a day in his life. Go figure.
- J’onn is the only one that holds up his own.
It is very obvious that the Legionnaire’s need more experience. Luckily Kara breaks from her coma. She realizes she need to be Kara Danvers and Supergirl, not one or the other.
She and J’onn knock Reign around and Reign flees.
What did you think? Are you a fan of the Legion? What are your thoughts on James and Lena? Sound off in the comments!
