Self-help books for the ‘This Is Us’ characters this holiday season
Holiday season is upon us! Ready to begin the shopping list to buy things for your family? Do you wish you could send a gift to your favorite fictional characters? We can get so close to these characters that we feel like we know them inside and out. So buying them a gift is only natural, right?
So if you could, what kind of gift would you buy for your favorite television show characters, such as This Is Us? For this show in particular, the best ideas we could possibly come up with for them are…self-help books. And we can safely say that every single one of them needs a self-help book. Heck, give Annie and Tess all the coloring books for the changes they are in the center of!
Jack: The Obstacle is the Way by Ryan Holiday
Jack Pearson, everyone’s favorite dad on television right now who is alive in the past and in our hearts. Despite all of this, though, he is going through a lot. What better way to motivate papa Pearson than by getting him a gift to encourage him to continue fighting against his demons and addiction?

Rebecca: Mother Daughter Duet by Cheri Fuller and Ali Plum
Poor Rebecca, she just can’t win when it comes to her kids. She could use a self-help book on how to really connect with her daughter.

Kevin: Crucial Conversations by Kerry Patterson, Joseph Grenny, Ron McMillan, and Al Switzler
Our number one is spiraling and it has gotten worse before it can get better. Maybe he can use the opportunity to read a self-help book on communicating. Because communication is not his forte.

Kate: The Gifts of Imperfection by Brené Brown
Let’s face it. Kate needs to embrace herself and love herself for who she is. She has a lot of issues relating to her father’s death and coping mechanisms she is working through. While she is learning how to deal with things, she still has a lot of work to do.

Randall: Anxious for Nothing by Max Lucado
Oh, Randall, we love thee. But you really need to work on going with the flow and letting things happen instead of always being in control. There’s a book that can help with that.
