Agents of SHIELD Season 5 Premiere recap, Season 5, Episode 1, “Orientation: Part 1” and Episode 2, “Orientation: Part 1,” Aired December 1, 2017

Welcome back Agents! The long awaited and much anticipated two part season 5 premiere of Agents of SHIELD is finally here! There was a huge twist, but that’s not the only crazy part of the premiere! Let’s break down the 16 most shocking moments!

Check out the 16 most shocking moments from the Agents of SHIELD season 5 premiere!

#1 The capture. The super chill and super creepy bald guy coordinated the capture of the agents (what we saw in the Season 4 season finale) and left one at the counter! They are hurled through space through a monolith. WHAT IS HAPPENING?!

The ABC Television Network. (ABC/Jennifer Clasen)

#2 New world. Roaches? Space?! A mysterious greeting party? Coulson and the team were zapped to space! We knew that, but it doesn’t make any of this any less shocking!

#3 Space mummies. Simmons and Yo-Yo materialize in a room of of dead people that were sucked dry. Space vampires or just aliens? Mack says aliens, but it’s still creepy AF.

#4 May’s leg. Everyone else got zapped into space without being impaled! Why do these things always happen to Agent May?! She (of course) handles it like a bad-ass and rips the pole out of the wall like a boss.

#5 Virgil. Poor Virgil! First, he gets knocked out by Mack, then after he wakes up and tells the team that they are there to save humanity, and he is killed by a Roach. He was going on and on about their history and such, but it didn’t really make sense at the time.

The ABC Television Network. (ABC/Jennifer Clasen)

#6 Bugs! Mack, Coulson, Simmons, and Yo-Yo are all running to escape a super creepy space bug when Daisy shows up and quakes it! Nice.

#7 Kree. The mysterious blue folks with strong ties to the Inhumans, the Kree are also in the outpost! They are definetly not the good guys.

#8 Someone is here to help? Even though he fought with Ma, Deke is actually trying to help the team! He sweet talks the Kree guard and gets the team out of jail but things just get more confusing from there. Who is he?!

#9 Kree planning an invasion? When May and Simmons go to find the ship so they can send a message to Fitz, they realize just how many Kree are in the outpost. There are also many humans and they decide that the Kree must be planning an invasion!

The ABC Television Network. (ABC/Jennifer Clasen)

#10 THEY ARE IN THE FUTURE! There is no invasion plan! This isn’t an outpost, it’s the last of humanity and the Earth has been destroyed! WTF?! AHHHHH! What now?

#11 Simmons playing doctor. We knew that someone on the team would draw attention to themselves and in this case, it’s Simmons! After she jumped to the aid of an injured Kree companion and she gets taken away.

#12 Deke’s speakeasy? Daisy wants answers and follows Deke. She ends up in his lounge and passes out immediately. She wakes up in the Framework made by Deke! That’s the big business he is so worried about protecting.

#13 Renewal. The Kree are super messed up! In order to control the population or to simply control them, the Kree ignite a mini Hunger Games! Don’t worry, all of our peeps survive, but it’s super messed up.

The ABC Television Network. (ABC/Jennifer Clasen)

#14 Perfection. The Kree that has taken Simmons as his aid is a total creeper. He kills the man that Simmons helped because he has a cut on his head and he requires complete perfection. Not only that, he puts some silver thing in Simmon’s ear that makes her deaf.

#15 Quake broke the world. Daisy and Deke are in his Framework when he realizes why he knows her. He thinks he has pieced the history of the Earth together and says that it was Daisy that quaked the world into oblivion. WHAT?! This was Daisy? If that’s true, when the heck did that happen?

#16 Simmons has conformed. Simmons can only hear that Kree dude when he is talking her and literally nothing else. She has the gold face paint and seems to be falling in line, but is that because of the silver thing in her ear or do they all need to play the part in order to survive there? And who’s on that space ship!?
