It’s the most wonderful time of the year! To watch television. It seems like no matter what channel you turn it to, there are Christmas specials to be watched any given night. I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love it! Here’s a list of 12 Christmas specials you absolutely must watch this year!
Switched for Christmas
Who doesn’t love a good Hallmark Christmas movie? I know I do. Nov. 26 at 8/7c, you can see double of Candace Cameron-Bure as she plays a set of twins. They both have individual parties to plan for the holidays and think the other has the easier job. So, in twin fashion, they switch places! Also, Candace’s daughter Natalie joins the cast as well.
CMA Country Christmas

Hosted by Reba McEntire at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, it’s Christmas, y’all! Since I am from the south and love country music, there is a 90% chance that I will tune into this two-hour special. Don’t miss Alan Jackson, Dustin Lynch, Chris Young, and so many more perform on Monday, Nov. 27, on ABC at 8/7c.
Angry Angel
Freeform’s very first original Christmas movie stars Brenda Song as a new angel trying to get her wings and make it into heaven. There’s angels, a love triangle, Jason Biggs …could we really ask for more? Turn the dial to Freeform Monday, Nov. 27 at 9/8c.

Don’t miss the amazing acapella group singing all of your favorite holiday songs in this one-hour Christmas special. There will even be a duet with the phenomenal Jennifer Hudson that you will have to see to believe. The special will air on NBC on Monday, Nov. 27 at 10/9c.
Christmas in Rockefeller Center

There are many families who don’t even consider it to be Christmas until they see the lighting of the tree in Rockefeller Center. Tune into to NBC on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 8/7c to watch the Christmas spirit come alive in New York.
A Charlie Brown Christmas

A holiday classic and a staple to any holiday tradition, is the story of the Peanuts crew at Christmas time. Watch Charlie and Linus look for the true Christmas spirit on ABC on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 9/8c.
The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration

Julianne Hough and Nick Lachey meet up at Sleeping Beauty’s castle at DisneyLand in California to host a two-hour magical Christmas special. Among the performances, there will be a duet between Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell singing a song from the new Disney featurette “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure.” Don’t miss this wonderful celebration on ABC, Thursday, Nov. 30 at 9/8c.
Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings: Holiday Magic

Watch beautiful engagement and winter wonderland weddings that have the magic of Disney in every aspect. Be sure to set your DVR to Freeform on Monday, Dec. 11 at 8/7c to see these couples’ dreams come true this Christmas.
iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball

It’s another star-studded special at iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball. Between Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, and Fallout Boy, you will not want to miss this magical event on Thursday, Dec. 14, at 8/7c. If you miss it, fear not, it will be streaming on The CW’s website and The CW app.

The folks at FOX bring the classic movie A Christmas Story to life with this three-hour special starring Matthew Broderick and Maya Rudolph. Broderick narrates the beloved story as an adult version of Ralphie who is looking back at the Christmas with fondness. Be sure to watch on Sunday, Dec. 17 at 7/6c.
The Disney Parks: Magical Christmas Celebration

The second part of the Disney Christmas specials for this year features the same hosts but with performances at parks around the world. Be sure to join the magic on Christmas Day at 10/9c AM.
Doctor Who Christmas Special 2017: “Twice Upon a Time”
This year’s Doctor Who Christmas special marks the end of Peter Capaldi’s tenure as the time-traveling alien known as the Doctor. In this special, he will come face-to-face with the first incarnation of the Doctor. Finally, he will regenerate into the 13th (and first female – Jodie Whittaker) incarnation of the iconic character. Be sure to tune into BBC America on Monday, Christmas night at 8/7c.
