Frank Castle is out for blood in the first ‘The Punisher’ trailer
It’s here! The first look at Marvel’s The Punisher has dropped, and it’s just as dark and twisted as we’d expect. The Punisher trailer features Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) narrating an ominous promise of vengeance over flashes of his past.
There isn’t very much revealed in this first teaser, but we do see glimpses of Castle’s past, like his family and ex-military days. Expect lots of flashbacks in this standalone series… and lots of violence of course, too.
While no other guest stars or supporting cast were shown in the trailer, we do know that Ben Barnes (Westworld) will play a friend of Castle’s named Billy Russo. Barnes said to Da Man of the upcoming Marvel series:
“Our show is about men suffering tragedy and trauma; it’s about a very real topic set in a world of superheroes—but no character in our show has superpowers and that makes it feel unique in this universe.”
The Punisher will drop on Netflix this fall — no official date yet. Stay tuned!
