It’s a wrap! The San Diego Comic Con of 2017 finished its festivities last week. With it came news of all of our favorites shows and movies, panels, meet-and-greets, and of course some outrageous cosplays. Would comic-con even be the same without some great costumes to celebrate our favorite fandoms? I sure don’t think so! While the SDCC picked its favorites during their masquerade award show, we’ve compiled our list of San Diego Comic Con’s best cosplays of this year!
The heros of course
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that some of the best costumes were based on…well…actual comic book characters. Heros and villains alike were all over the convention, from abstract versions, to crossovers, and straight-out-of-the-pages.
Disney was HOT
Disney is taking off as a major pop culture feature at conventions now. While Disney now has dipped its feet into the comic/fandom world with taking over the Star Wars franchise and Marvel movies, it’s clearly showing that princesses, villains, and more are accepted in the nerd world, too!
All the others
There was no shortage of other underrated costumes at SDCC. Some of the best include horror movie villains and our favorite gals from Westworld!
