Well, that was fast.
James Gunn and Rolling Stone announced today the tracklist of songs for the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Needless to say, we’re super excited.
The soundtrack features songs from the trailers, such as “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac and “Fox on the Run” by Sweet. Gunn also had more freedom to include bigger artists like George Harrison and lesser-known songs like “Lake Shore Drive.” Gunn, the director of Guardians, says that the scene featuring “Mr. Blue Sky” by Electric Light Orchestra is the “most hugely insane shot I’ve ever done.”

Note: we didn’t include “Wham Bang Shang-A-Lang” by Silver or the song by James Gunn because they’re not on Spotify (yet).
We’re definitely pumped. “Awesome Mix Vol. 2” will be released on April 21. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 comes to theaters on May 5.
