‘Legends of Tomorrow’: 2×15 The Mick Rory episode

Legends of Tomorrow recap: Season 2, Episode 15, “Fellowship of the Spear,” Aired March 22, 2017

I spent my night yelling at the television screen. In order to sort out my feelings, I will need to go about this a different way. Here are the top moments, when the team let Mick down in this episode.

5. Stein is not convinced.

I have been enjoying Martin and Mick’s camaraderie this season. Since, Mick started having visions of Leonard Snart he has been confiding in Martin. Martin has helped Mick to the best of his abilities.

Tonight it is as if their friendship never happened, when Snart does not believe in Mick.

Mick saw Leonard when the Legends were in France, during the war. Leonard actually punched Mick in the face, because he was so disappointed in him. Mick thought it was another hallucination until Leonard punched him.

It left a mark on his face. Later he tries to tell Martin and he doesn’t listen.

4. Leonard Snart is ashamed.

We find out that Leonard Snart is indeed alive. Well, the Snart of the past is alive. The Legion of Doom pulled Snart out from the past, before he ever joined the Legends.

The Legion of Doom is now complete.

  1. Snart finds out from Mick what the Legends are up to.
  2. They need to find J.R.R. Tolkien who is a lieutenant in the army, at the time.
  3. Only Tolkien knows where the blood of Christ is hidden.

The blood of Christ, you ask? It turns out the only thing that can destroy the Spear of Destiny for good, is the Blood of Christ. Why? I have no idea. But it does, so we must roll with it.

3. Trustworthy

Snart tries to convince Mick that the Legends still don’t trust him. The Legends actions for the rest of the episode do not help their case.

  • They turn down all of Mick’s ideas.
  • They question Mick’s loyalty now that Snart has returned.
  • The team, aside from Amaya, admit they still consider Mick a thief.

I am actually surprised by this news. I thought Stein, Ray, and Mick had formed a good friendship. I am stunned by Sara’s lack of faith in Mick. She of all people should know, people can change.

2. Amaya’s Loyalty

Amaya wanted to use the spear to find the blood. She wanted to hault the war so they could locate it.

Mick sided with Amaya. Sara turned down the suggestion. Amaya, frustrated with Sara, has a chat with Mick.

On the battlefield the Legends find the blood of Christ. The Legion of Doom confronts them and demands the spear. Sara give the spear to Mick and rushes over to fight them.

Snart tries to convince Mick to give the Legion the spear.

1. Mick’s Choice

Mick looks around at his fellow Legends. The only one in his corner is Amaya.

Mick must decide who has his back. Does his loyalty lie with the Legends or the Legion?

Amaya begs him to stay.

“You all were never going to think anything more of me, than a common thief.”

Mick walks over to the Legion and gives them the spear. The war resumes and Mick leaves with the Legion on their ship.

What did you think? Were you shocked about Mick’s choice? Did you see where he was coming from? See you next week my Legends!

Legends of Tomorrow airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on The CW.
