Fox’s upcoming X-men show has us feeling some things already.
The show still doesn’t have a title (c’mon Fox, don’t leave us hanging), but its mystery is slowly unraveling. Got a question about the show? Let’s try to answer it.

The plot
This show won’t be titled something related to the X-Men universe, but it will be set in the same universe as the movies. The general plot follows a mother and father who discover that their children are mutants. The parents soon go on the run with their kids, fleeing government persecution. Soon, the family meets an underground network of mutants and must face their new reality head-on.
The characters
There has been a LOT of casting news recently, so let’s break down everything we know so far!
Stephen Moyer from True Blood plays Reed Stewart, an attorney who tries to balance his work and his family. From the description, it seems like Reed is the father in this story. It’ll be interesting to see how a father so dedicated to his job will handle having mutant children and having to abandon his old life.

Amy Acker, a Person of Interest and Angel alum, plays Kate Stewart, the mother to the show’s mutant children. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the two parents are actually going through a separation. So that adds a whole new layer to the family drama.

Percy Hynes White is Andy Stewart, a kid who’s a bit of a loner. He tries to keep to himself despite everything happening in his life.
Natalie Alyn Lind plays Lauren, the other Stewart child in the show. She is the model student, and in contrast with her brother, she’s super outgoing and popular.
Blair Redford plays the leader of the underground mutant network, Sam. He is strong-willed and dedicated.
Jamie Chung appears as Blink, a popular X-Men universe hero. Also known as Clarice Fong, the character can teleport.
Emma Dumont is Lorna Dane, or the X-Men character Polaris. She has the power of magnetism.
What else?
Not much else is known right now besides the cast and the plot. We do know that Matt Nix is writing the show, with Bryan Singer (yes, that Bryan Singer) directing the series. Even though we don’t have an official title or a release date, we do have a lot to look forward to with this X-Men show! Stay tuned to PureFandom.com for more info!
