‘Talking TV With Liz and Lindi’ podcast recap: ‘The Walking Dead’ 7×11, “Hostiles and Calamities ”

The Walking Dead recap: Season 7, Episode 11, “Hostiles and Calamities ,” Aired Feb. 26 2017

In this episode of Talking TV With Liz and Lindi, we break down the Eugene/Dwight-focused episode that has the internet swirling with different views. Some really hated the episode, some loved it, and some are just ready for the war against Negan to happen already.

In this podcast, we break down:

  • Whether or not Eugene is full “Team Negan” or not. Is he simply just surviving? Does he care about Rick and Co.? Will he figure out a way to plot against Negan from the inside?
  • If Eugene felt he was being tested by Negan’s wives. Think about it: They could have been playing him as a test from Negan. Negan did show up at Eugene’s door right after Eugene refused to give the wives the pills — was it a test all along and Eugene knew it?
  • Do we like Dwight? The note that his ex-wife left him was gut-wrenching. Maybe he framed the doctor so he could truly fake her death and let her try to live a Negan-less life as long as she can (without being hunted down by him.)
  • Bonus round: We reveal what we would do if we were in Eugene’s situation.
