‘Legends of Tomorrow’ recap: 2×12 “Camelot/3000

Legends of Tomorrow recap: Season 2, Episode 12, “Camelot/3000”,  Aired February 21, 2017

Hello, Legends! Last night’s episode was an A+! How can it not be? It centered around King Arthur and Camelot, one of the most popular fables of all time. It was all around perfection. Let’s dive in!

Amaya and Her Issues

Jefferson “Jax”

We finally get a Amaya-centric episode. Vixen has been a force to be reckoned with since her first appearance on Arrow. She is strong and powerful and a woman before her time.

Amaya is not afraid to call Sara out. If she wouldn’t have let Rip go, then the Legion of Doom’s search for the spear would have been delayed. This would provide more time for the Legends to find it first.

“The mission must always come before the needs of the team.”

These are the words Amaya utters to Sara at the beginning of the episode. Captain Lance takes these words to heart, as they travel to Britannia in the past. To Ray’s delight, the next part of the spear can be found in the age of Arthur.

Meet Queen Guinevere

The gang travels back to the time of Arthur. When they arrive they are ambushed by knights. The head of these knights is none other than Guinevere. Only in this time she is known as Queen Guinevere.

Guinevere and King Arthur are on a hunt for the Black Knight. He has been killing the Knights of the Round Table or taking them hostage. Ray and the group are taken to King Arthur’s hall.

They find out that Guinevere is a bada*s, which we already know. They also discover Merlin is none other than Star Girl from the JSA. Amaya is not happy about this!

Meet Merlin Star Girl

In King Arthur’s Court we find the famous Merlin. Only this isn’t the Merlin of legend, it is Star Girl, former member of the JSA. She was sent here to protect a piece of the spear.

Later we find out the spear is part of the infamous sword in the stone. Who pulls out the sword? Amaya!

“That was badass.”

Truer words have never been spoken, Sara.

Now that they have the spear piece, Amaya asks Star Girl to come with them. Star Girl refuses. She has fallen in love with Merlin. Amaya understands and they leave with the spear.

Sir Raymond of the Palms

Meanwhile, Rip has a mind control device. He has taken control of Arthur and his knights. It is up to Queen Guinivere, Raymond, and a hand full of knights to hold them off.

Nate informs the group of Raymond’s plights of heroism and they all rush to help him.

Stein manages to get a hold of one of the mind control devices. He cannot get it to work. Jax believes the brain that can use it, isn’t about intelligence, it is about intensity. They toss it to Mic and of course it works.

The Stand and the Kiss

The Legends and the knights defeat Damien and Rip’s army. They finally win one!

Before Ray departs Guinivere knights him, Sir Raymond of the Palms. He goes to thank her after and she is not alone.

Sara is there saying goodbye.

“Do you really have to go?”

Guiniviere is saddened by Sara’s departure. Raymond says goodbye. As he leaves he tells sara,

“You know every good story ends with a kiss.”

Sara smiles and turns around. This happens!

Yes! Also, as an added bonus, Guinivere called Sara- Sara Lancelot!

All in all this was my favorite episode of the season. What was your favorite episode? Sound it off in the comments!
