The Magicians recap: Season 2, Episode 4, “The Flying Forest”, Aired Feb. 15, 2017
The Fillory royals are down by one and they’re not dealing with Alice’s loss very well. Eliot finds himself split between his role as king and Brakebills’ own life of the party. He’s feeling overwhelmed by his newfound responsibilities. Thankfully, Dean Fogg promises to help Eliot find his way. There’s also the fallout…or magical brownouts popping up thanks to Ember desecrating the well last week. Penny and Quentin get the contact high of their lives as they journey in search of the “White Lady”. Quentin hopes the mythical creature can help restore what they both have lost. Meanwhile, Margo and Julia share their mutual distaste for one another, but the former offers an assist when she finds out about Julia’s Renard problem. Also, Kady’s back!!! She totally makes up for the loss of Julia’s previous partner-in-sleuthing. Wonder if she can carry a note, though.
