‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”: 4 Things We Know About Season 4

And we don’t just mean the show, the organization will be coming out of the shadows once more in Season 4! If you have seen Captian America: Civil War, you know all about the Sokovia Accords and how the goverment is now involved in the management of powered folks.  That’s what S.H.I.E.L.D. is all about so because of the Accords and because of the Hydra take down in Season 3, S.H.I.E.L.D. is legit again! (Woo!)

Here’s what we know:

Ghost Rider is coming!

In Season 4 we will meet Robbie Reyes (played by Gabriel Luna), a mechanic who turns into the scary AF but awesome, Ghost Rider. Ahhhh! According to the trailer, Ghost Rider burns souls while riding around it a kick – ass flaming 1969 Dodge Charger, like a boss. But what side will he be on? If he teams up with our agents, COOL! If not, holy sh*t, have we got a problem.

Ward is dunzo.

It was shocking that they were able to keep Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) around as long as they did after killing him off, but I am still super bummed that Season 4 will be missing Brett Dalton. Maybe Ghost Rider can pull him out of Hell? Please?

New time, new vibe.

The show is bumping back an hour later which means it can be a little darker, which is awesome. Chloe Bennet (who plays Daisy Johnson) described the new season as “darker and sexier” according to Vengence, supernatural and morality are themes that will be heavy in Season 4 and you can see that edgier look in the promo below.

Coulson and Mack are partners.

The world thinks that Phil is dead so he can’t really be the face of the organization now that they are operating above ground. They have a new director (played by Jason O’Mara) and Couslon and Mack will be busy trying to find Quake aka Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet). If you recall, she went rouge after Lincoln’s death in Season 3.

Check out the extended promo right here and get ready to freak the frack out on Tuesday, September 15!

We can’t wait!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premieres Sept. 20, 10PM on ABC.
