One of the best shows on TV right now is back, y’all! UnREAL‘s season 2 premiere aired a few days ago, and I’m still reeling from all the twists and manipulation.

- Rachel’s love life is going to go from “it’s complicated” to the as of yet unknown status of “what the actual hell”. In the premiere, Adam’s calls get sent to voicemail and she’s sleeping with the new suitor’s manager: Romeo. In this new teaser however, he seems to be otherwise engaged, and by the end of the video a new player has been introduced. Methinks he’s the real deal when it comes to love interests, hopefully these two have even a tenth of the chemistry Rachel and Adam shared.
- Hot Rachel? More like Hot Trouble. Jeremy was his usual jerk self when he pointed her out to Rachel, but clearly things are going to come to a head in the near future. Will Rachel maneuver her pawns in such a way that Yael gets ousted before anyone gets hurt? This is UnREAL, so probably not.
- Speaking of conflicts, Quinn and Rachel’s “Money. Dick. Power.” motto seems forgotten as they seemingly fight for ownership of the show. Their friendship will likely survive in the end, because their dynamic is too deep to crack completely, but at what price?
- Let’s not forget that Chet is back (after an … intriguing foray into getting back to the roots of human’s nature. Or something.) and he is not letting Everlasting go.
Methinks he’ll lose in the end, or realize Quinn is doing his job for a reason but UnREAL comes with its load of surprises so … it’s all up in the air. Plus, he probably won’t take too kindly to Quinn having a new love interest, and things may just end with a huge bang. Literally. What was that explosion all about?!
Damn, I can’t wait for next week’s episode. Also, I miss Adam. I hope Freddie Stroma’s role won’t be limited to that one phone call *cries*
