‘The 100’ review: 3×08 “Terms and Conditions”

Season 3, Episode 8, “Terms and Conditions”, Aired March 10, 2016

After “Thirteen” we needed a Polis break and that’s just what we got. Instead of the Grounder conflict and all that jazz, we were thrown deep into the paranoia and politics of Arkadia. For a culture that punished petty crime with death, it was no surprise to see how cutthroat the politics of Arkadia have gotten under Pike’s terrible rule.

Kane runs this shiz. Kane used to be the unwavering rule follower up on the Ark. Even in this situation, he is so resistant to committing treason, but it’s really the only way. I love him working with Harper and Miller. Two delinquents that he once punished are now his allies in taking down Pike. Speaking of Pike, that punch was amazing and watching Kane (almost) drive Pike’s crazy ass out of camp was great. Even though Bellamy stood in front of his car, you could tell he was starting to have reservations. I have seen Bellamy Blake hold a gun to someone with conviction and this was not one of those times.

City of Light. Jaha and Raven are still recruiting for Team Crazy. ALIE has been a wrench in the typical groupings in Arkadia but at least it has given us some new and interesting pairings. Jaha and Raven. Raven and Jasper. Jasper is a little too willing to take that chip and help Raven get the chip maker back. I love that he was the one who brought her back and seemed to talk himself out of it at the same time. #RasperFeels!

Baby come back. Can we all just agree that Clarke needs to get home? She would never let things get this bad. And where is Abby? Is there a 24 hour surgery happening somewhere? The Griffin women would never let this crap fly. I really hate that everyone has turned on each other in Arkadia but love the drama it is causing. It’s like all of the mistrust of the Ark has followed them right back to Earth and things have gone crazy! Bellamy and Monty are on Team Pike. Sinclair is charged with treason! Bellamy is just awful, but in fairness, he was military before he came to Earth is above all else (Octavia excluded) a soldier. I have been doing a re-watch and I long for the days of sassy, impulsive Bellamy. There is so much tension and the espionage. I did like to see Lincoln joining in on the plan. Kane is really stretching to get Pike out of there. You can’t trust anyone! It seems like Clarke really was the compass of the Sky people.

I ship that. OMG. I can’t express how much I love Miller and his BF Bryan but it KILLED me that that Bryan was playing Miller. Please don’t break up fellas. I love you!

Pike you just got to Earth! You are brand new baby. You have no idea how huge the Grounder army is. Also, I HATE YOU! Sentencing Kane to death would have made me happy once upon a time, but not anymore. But on the bright side, Pike’s order to kill Kane FINALLY snaps Bellamy and Monty back to normal.

Welcome back Raven! Raven can’t remember Finn and FINALLY snaps out of it. It seems that taking the chips doesn’t wash away pain, it washes away memories. Our bad-ass girl is the first person to take a stand against ALIE, which shocks us very little. That makes me a little nervous about what Jaha will do now. He is too far gone, clearly.

How great was that? It was like a political thriller but will much more facial hair. Ugh, the next ep looks brutal. Prepare yourselves folks.
