‘The 100’: Thoughts on 3×03 “Ye Who Enter Here”

Season 3, Episode 3, “Ye Who Enter Here”, Aired February 4, 2016

That was a lot to take in! Grab your Grounder makeup and let’s get to it!

Tower of Lexa. Clarke and Lexa have another face to face but this time, there is no spit swapping (of any kind). Clarke is still pissed. Instead of showing any emotion or begging Clarke for forgiveness, Lexa tells Clarke about her master plan. She wants Clarke and Skikru to become the 13th Clan and have Clarke bow to her. Clarke isn’t having it.

Clarke: Go float yourself.

Lexa’s troubles. This mighty bad-ass Commander is having trouble keeping her clans in order. She is forever dealing with the Ice Nation’s shit and now the other clans are starting to see her compassion for Clarke as weakness, How do you make sure that your Clans respect you? Lexa kicks a dude out of the window of her tower, that’s how. Splat!

Mountain struggles. Against every viewers better judgment, Dr. Griffin lets Pike and some of his Farm Station people move into the mountain. What a TERRIBLE idea!

Sibling bonding. Octavia is so not cool with people moving into the mountain. She tells Bellamy that once Lincoln’s kill order is lifted she is out. We get it, she has always been the black sheep of the sky.

Missile Madness. With Echo telling them about the Grounders planning to attack the Summit, Pike (of course) freaks out. He thinks they need to get the missiles ready for a counter strike. Raven, Bellamy’s girlfriend, Gina and Sinclair go to work. Raven breaks our hearts when she finally admits she needs help.

Raven: What if I’m just broken.

Putting the ASS in assassin. This creepy jerk looks like Marilyn Manson in an Oliver Queen costume. They keep cutting to him. According to Echo, he is at the Summit, ready to kill some Skikru.

Clexa part two. Clarke pulls a knife on Lexa but can’t go through with it. I love this exchange between them. Clarke got her apology from the rather dry Lexa, but it’s still an apology. Clarke decides to go along with Lexa’s plan and tells her mom and Kane that the Skikru needs to become the 13th Clan.

HOLY CRAP! So Bell, Echo, Octavia and Pike head to the tower to warn the Skikru and have to climb all the way up. Clarke is looking AMAZING in her new Grounder get up. This part was so cool with the singer wailing in the background. They would cut from Clarke walking to Lexa, to Bellamy frantically climbing to get to her, the 12 Clans watching Wanheda bowing to Lexa to the very kamikaze – like assassin. THEN after Bellamy busts into the summit to warn them, Echo bails and we see that the assassin isn’t in the tower. HE’S IN THE MOUNTAIN!

Tick, tick. The assassin stabs Gina and activates the mountain’s self destruct button. He knows exactly where to go to enter the code. Raven and Sinclair chase him outside and radio Gina to give her the code to disable the destruct sequence, but it’s too late. We see the clock tick down in Gina’s dead eye and then BOOM.

Tower of trouble. Bellamy tries to convince Clarke to leave the tower with the rest of Skikru but all she says is cold, “I’m sorry”, which reminds me of her exchange with Lexa.

Lexa bows to Clarke and they finally seem to be on the same page for now, but I am still a little jaded from her last betrayal. #Clexa is full steam in this one! Don’t kill me, but I sort of think that Clarke is playing Lexa this time. Just the way she dismisses Bellamy in that scene, seemed like she was holding something back. Time will tell!

Ice Queen! How did the Grounders know that there was a self destruct button in Mount Weather? A mountain man at the side of the bad-ass looking Ice Nation Queen and Echo was working for them the whole time, that’s how! And if memory serves, that is the mountain man that they let go with minimal oxygen that one time.

Is your head spinning? ME TOO! What a great episode!

So, what did you think? Do you trust Lexa? What do you think Skikru will do now? Let’s discuss! Hit the comments or find me on twitter!

May we meet again!

The 100 airs Thursday nights on The CW at 9/8c.
