Season 3, Episode 2, “Wanheda: Part 2”, Aired January 28, 2016
Survivors! Bellamy, Monty, Indra and Kane find the farmers from the Ark and Monty’s Mom! The farmers are being commanded by a man named Pike. It’s super clear that Pike hates all Grounders, no matter what Kane says. To be fair, the farmers had encountered the dreaded Ice Nation when they killed Monty’s Dad and some of the children. Ice Nation sucks but at least Monty found his mom!
City of Lights. Turns out the City of Lights is a trippy meditation destination. Jaha keeps popping in and out of this weird state where Alie tells him that he must build the City of Light. Jaha is recruiting folks for his weirdo City of Lights cult. Murphy is super resistant and almost destroys Alie, but flees with Emori instead. Alie keeps telling Jaha that there is no pain in the City of Lights and a dude who was just killed is somehow alive in the City of Light. Alie has brainwashed Jaha and he is slipping further into her creepy clutches. It’s all a little confusing.
The Doc is in! Dr. Griffin helps an injured Grounder by bringing him to the mountain to use the supplies there and they decide that it would be an excellent medical facility. Octavia, Lincoln and Jasper go too. Poor Jasper is forced to confront his grief. It seems like using the supplies there may stir up even more drama with the Grounders, but I sort of agree that this place shouldn’t be wasted.
Bellamy Blake is my hero! Bellamy saves Niylah from the angry bounty hunter. Then he grabs some Grounder gear and marches with the Ice Nation to save Clarke! He finds her and gently moves the hair from her face. (SWOON!)
The bliss is brief because Roan pins him down. Clarke begs for his life and Roan spares him but knocks him out, stabs his leg and flees with Clarke. And then Bellamy rips all of our hearts out as he argues with Monty and Kane about finding Clarke.
“We can’t lose Clarke. We … we can’t lose her.” -Bellamy Blake
Oh Roan. It’s pretty clear that he isn’t going to hurt Clarke. He even does her a solid by washing that crap out of her hair. Roan was banished and wants to use her as a way to get back in with his crew. We learn that Roan isn’t just a bounty hunter, he is a prince! And who is Prince Roan is bringing Clarke to?
Clarke was not happy to see her, calls her a bitch, spits in her face and threatens to kill her. Things are not looking too good for Clexa at the moment. Lexa is leading a coalition of some sort. Hopefully we will learn more about her plans in the next episode. Also, that tower does not look structurally sound. Be safe up there, Lexa!
War is coming and it’s going to get crazy. Let’s all form a protective circle around our characters because I have a feeling that this season is going to get bloody. What did you think of this episode? I think that this show is frickin’ amazing and well worth the wait! Do you agree? I want to freak out with you, so find me on twitter or hit the comments.
May we meet again!
The 100 airs Thursday nights on The CW at 9/8c.
