New ‘Teen Wolf’ 5B promo: ‘Give them hope’
This brand new Teen Wolf 5B promo focuses on one of Mama McCall’s patented speeches, and this time it isn’t about love. Shocking, I know. I have to admit, compared to her usual hits such as “Be your own anchor” and “Say it again. Say it differently.”, this one falls a little flat, but maybe within the context of the episode it’s in, it’ll have more impact. (Raise your hand if you think she should become a therapist and/or singer instead of a nurse!)

Stiles’ face contorted in despair over his brutally hurt dad is now branded in my memory forever, thanks MTV!

You know what else isn’t OK? Malia getting chocked (probably by the Desert Wolf), and no one coming to rescue her.

In fact, everyone is screaming in this promo: Stiles, Lydia, Liam, Scott. SOMEONE HELP THESE KIDS, I BEG OF YOU.
Melissa concludes with “Hope. Give them hope.” which is, I assume, supposed to be inspirational. Unfortunately, to me it only brings to mind President Snow from The Hunger Games and his now iconic “Hope. The only thing stronger than fear.” which isn’t quite as encouraging. Plus, this is cute and all, but Scott’s the one who drove his pack into the ground in 5A, all because he just has to trust everyone, although not his best friend who happens to be right 99% of the time. Go figure.

What do we think’s happening here anyway? Is Liam freaking out because once again his dead girlfriend is putting his relationship with his Alpha in jeopardy? Is Lydia trying to break out of Eichen House by making all the windows collapse? Is the Sheriff going to be all right? (Spoiler alert: he is, but those wounds don’t look like they’re going to heal fast … maybe Scott can take away the Sheriff’s pain and thus make up with Stiles?). Is someone GOING TO HELP MALIA, GODDAMMIT?!

Stay tuned for more info as the premiere crawls closer! Teen Wolf comes back on January 5, 2016.
