‘The Walking Dead’: Confirmation on Negan?

Image: Moviepilot.com

Looks like we have somewhat of a possible confirmation regarding the arrival of Negan. Although it isn’t a solid yes or no. For most of us, it is just the answer we have been waiting to hear.

Last month The Spoiling Dead Fans posted a casting call for the role of “Orin.” The use of code names in casting is well known as they work to not spoil anything ahead of time. Last month I wrote a post with a slight spoiler from the comic book which you can read [here]. If you don’t know who Negan is then here a brief description of “Orin”:

A physically imposing, charismatic, brutal, smart, ferocious, oddly friendly, fun loving sociopath that is both a leader of men and a killer of men. He has both a practical and emotional intelligence, he’s a brilliant strategist, and he has a temper that can vaporize people.

The description of “Orin” fits Negan perfectly but there has never been an official ‘yes’ or ‘no’ as to the arrival of Negan. In a recent interview with TVLine, the The Walking Dead showrunner Scott M. Gimple was asked to if Negan was indeed “Orin”. Gimple’s reply:

“I can neither confirm nor deny,” before cheekily adding, “It’s not the worst guess in the world. It’s difficult to get around your logic here.”

Appears that we are going to continue waiting for the answer, but hey, at least The Walking Dead is back on in a few days.

Season 6 of The Walking Dead returns to AMC this Sunday, October 11.
